Vehicle inspection, driver checking or personal checking are tasks of a police patrol. Some years ago the patrol made a request by radio or telephone if they checked a suspicious vehicle or person. That was taking lots of time and errors could occur easily. Today the patrols have mobile computers like notebooks, convertibles or tablet PCs with broadband data connection via GPRS/UMTS or HSDPA. In the open field PCs are needed that never let its user down.
